Introduction
Fireworks algorithm (FWA, pdf) is an evolutionary optimization algorithm that multiple fireworks collaboratively search their local areas by explosion operation which conduct local-search by scattering sparks (individuals) around each firework. In each iteration, fireworks communicate with each other and decide their searching manner. For example, fireworks with better solutions explode in a smaller scope with more sparks to conduct local exploitation, well fireworks with worse solutions explode in a large scope with fewer sparks to accomplish a cheap global exploration.
In contrast with other swarm-based optimization methods, FWA applies a simple local search mechanism and mainly concerns the collaboration of fireworks by resource allocation, thus attracted a lot of interest since it's proposed. Many important publications of FWA and some latest FWA codes can be found at our FWA forum.
The book will be an introduction of the most recent works on theory analysis, algorithm improvements and applications of fireworks algorithm to help people with further researches and application. The authors will be the most experienced researchers and engineers so they would share their valuable knowledge on these topics.
p.s. You will not be charged for publishing chapters.
Objective
Fireworks algorithm is a widely concerned topic in optimization algorithms based on swarm intelligence. The book will be the most up-to-date summary of works on fireworks algorithms, including both important improvements in the algorithm and successful practical applications.
Firstly, the book should be a finely organized material for experienced researchers and engineers to learn the most up-to-date progress on fireworks algorithm and serve their current works. The book can also guide postgraduates to conduct researches in related fields like swarm intelligence or evolutionary computation. Finally, it helps beginners to quickly understand the states of this topic. There is no such a handbook on firework algorithm in recent years. It should lead to a number of works on fireworks algorithm and also help researches in evolutionary computation and swarm intelligence.
Target Audience
The book services both experienced and starting researchers of fireworks algorithm on the most recent and important research development. And anyone who's willing to apply it in some practical optimization tasks, like postgraduates and engineers who's going to work with this method. It is also a reference for people working in other Swarm Intelligence fields.
Recommended Topics
Most up-to-date works about Fireworks Algorithm (FWA), including:
-
Theoretical Analysis, including Global Optimization Ability Analysis, Convergence Rate Estimation, Searching Trajectory Analysis, Computational Complexity, and others.
-
