Professor Yuhui Shi graduated with a Ph.D. from Southeast University in 1992 and stayed on as a faculty member. He has successively engaged in research work in the United States, South Korea, Australia and other places. During his stay in the United States, he worked with the founders of particle swarm optimization algorithm James Kenney and Russell Eberhart to publish many articles. This foundational academic paper is one of the authors of English monographs Swarm Intelligence and Computational Intelligence: From Concept to Realization. So far, more than 200 papers have been published in top international academic journals and conferences. Google has a total of 58,000 citations and an H-index of 49. Served as the associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Evolutioanry Computation, and the chief editor of International Journal of Swarm Intelligence Research.
